Submitted photo Squirt Hawks headed for provincials Having earned medals in six of the sev- en tournaments they've entered this year, the Halton Hawks' squirt fastpitch team will try for another this weekend at the Provincial Women's Softball Association championships this weekend in Whitby. The Hawks, whose core captured an Ontario title as mites two years ago, went 4-0 at the PWSA qualifier in Vaughan ear- lier this month, defeating Whitby 12-4 in the final to earn a spot in the A division this weekend. The Halton squirts (born in 2002) are on a roll heading into the provincials, go- ing 5-0 to take the gold medals at a tour- nament in Brampton and 6-0 to grab top spot at another event in Chatham.
