The United Way of Hal- ton Hills will kick off the 2014 fall campaign at their 'Champions For Change' event on Saturday, Sept. 13. This will be an annual event, with the theme chang- ing from year to year. This year's theme "The World at Your Doorstep" will cele- brate countries from around the world. Everyone is invited to come out to the Club at North Halton for a fun and entertaining evening of in- ternational food, dance and a silent auction. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails from around the world, fol- lowed by a three-course meal from three continents. The silent auction will feature a variety of unique an interesting items includ- ing local art, sports tickets, theme park passes and much more. Local artist Laura Thomp- son will play keyboard throughout the evening and guests will enjoy a dance demonstration by South Pa- cific Dancers.
