A dairy farmer until the 1990s, he left the farm near Walkerton to move to Owen Sound in 2013. Beloved husband of the late Jacoba Houtsma Faber. Father (Heit) of Rauke Faber of Cambridge, Ale and his wife Sandra Faber of Acton, Hessel and his wife Gwen Faber of Acton, Alyda Faber and her husband David Heckerl of Halifax, George (Willem) Faber of Acton, and Pieter and his wife Marcia Faber of Cambridge. Grandfather (Pake) of Melissa and her husband Ben Biffis, Losina, Jacob, Ryan; Richard, Lindsay; Jordan and Alex Faber. Great-grandfather of Natalie Biffis. Brother of Jackie (Jiske) and the late Henk Duiker, Rennie (Renske) and Cor Groenendyk, Anne (Antje) and Bill Ingles, Lucy (Hotske) and the late Dick DeBoer, Kathy (Klaaske) Noseworthy and Norm Griffin. Predeceased by his parents Rauke and Wijtske (Talma) Faber, his sister Sophie (Saapke) Monsma, and his brother Hessel Faber.
