We had a great year thanks to your continued sup- port! The 2014 Performance Season was a huge success with highlights in- cluding our performances at the Phase II Grand Opening of the Georgetown Market Place Mall, the Canada Day and Doors Open festivities in Glen Williams, and the Santa Claus Parade. We were deeply honoured to play at the Remembrance Day Services in Georgetown and Glen Williams, and we were very pleased to present our third annual tribute concert, With Glowing Hearts, to a full house at the John Elliott Theatre. In addition, we held a festive concert for Christmas shoppers at the mall in December. After a busy holiday season fol- lowed by a well-earned rest, the HHCB is setting new goals for 2015. Top of our list is to continue to grow band membership. We currently have 20 members and counting. Our members are all lo- cal musicians ranging from amateur to professional who enjoy playing music as a hobby. We practise once a week, on Tues- days at 7:15 p.m., at the Academy of Music. New players are welcome all season long! If you no longer have a musical instrument, we can help you find one. They are often inexpensive to rent or even purchase second-hand. This new year also finds the HHCB planning some new concerts. We are always eager to perform, so watch for us at some of your favourite commu- nity events and venues. If you are looking for a band to play at your event, get in touch! We are pleased to discuss new performance opportunities. Live music can be just the thing to bring your event from me- diocre to spectacular! Our performance schedule is avail- able on our website: haltonhillscon- certband.com or you can reach us by email at haltonhillsconcertband@hot- mail.com or 905-873-6144. Make it a New Year's resolution to return to music, make some new friends, and have fun while you're at it-- join the Halton Hills Concert Band! COMMUNITY Looking for something to do?
