A pickup truck full of items was dropped off at the hospital, which Emily Marshall of Nashville North said was a way of giving back to the community in appreciation for the excellent treatment her brother Nicholas, now 15, received as a baby after being diagnosed with the genetic disorder Corne- lia de Lange Syndrome. Approximately 20 to 30 children pass through the emergency department and medical/surgical unit of the Georgetown Hospital per day. To bolster the donation, Nashville North offered its patrons admission to the establishment in exchange for a toy in the month leading up to Christmas. The Georgetown Hospital Foundation holds its popular annual Hospital Hoedown fundraiser at Nashville North. Family members of the Nashville North nightclub in Norval presented the Georgetown Hospital with dozens of toys collected recently for kids to play with during their stay at the local health facility.
