Births Births DODOKIN, Gail Sandra (nee Hall) Afte r a b r i e f i l l ne s s , we sa id goodbye to our loving Mom on February 2, 2015. Gail remained inspirational, beautiful and strong to the end. She wil l be missed dearly by her children Robin, Tracey and Jason, son-in-law Jonathan, daughter-in-law Michelle, and Jamie Chaffe. She was a devoted wife to t h e l a t e R o n D o d o k i n a n d i s cherished by her grandchildren: M a d e l a i n e , C a m i l l e , Ta l l u l a h , Mackenzie, Samuel and Wyatt. A very caring, loving, and giving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who lived every day to its fullest. Gail loved us all and she will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends. Gail was born in Toronto to Connie and Al Hall in 1936. She grew up sharing laughter, picnics, card games and tea with her many cousins, friends, brother Richard, and her loving parents. Gail taught at Ledbury Park Elementary and then at Blythwood Public School in the early 1960s. It was during this time that she married Ron Dodokin and they started their family. She spent her married life creating joyful experiences for all of us whether a birthday party, a walk in the woods, or letting us play hooky from school to bake bread. Once her kids were older she and Ron took on a new business, running a retail jewelry store. At that time, Gail became a gemologist, enjoying helping her customers know more about the beautiful stones to which they were attracted, their origin and nature. She continued to travel, experience and create art, and held a wide circle of vibrant friends in her later years. She remained an active part of our grown up lives, experiencing our marriages, children, careers, and hopes for the future with us. Her thoughtful interest in everyone around her always made a lasting i m p r e s s i o n . G a i l w a s n e v e r u n d e r m i n e d b y a n y o f t h e challenges she faced later in her life, she always had a smile on her face and never once complained which made her an inspiration to us all. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, compassion, strength, optimism, and infectious l a u g h . We a r e g r a t e f u l f o r a peaceful and gracious farewell and thank both the staff at Kensington Gardens and the special people that have treated Gail with such care and respect over the last few years: Fazia, Dilcia, Jennette, Beth and Jennifer.
