"I am running for federal Liberal MP because I want to see change in every- day people's lives," said Mimnagh. "We have serious problems in this country. Like the cost of living, accessibility to training for trade work, the treat- ment of young people in the judi- cial system and our responsibility to the environment. Things that affect Canadians like you and I every day. We need to demand change at the federal level. I need your help to get to Ottawa and make a difference. " Mimnagh will be competing for the job against retired Georgetown doctor Don Trant, already certified as a Liberal nominee for Welling- ton-Halton Hills and high school teacher Diane Bal- lantyne of Fergus. A nomina- tion meeting will be held by the once all three nominees have been certified. "My work ethic, business success, and love of community are the founda- tions upon which I plan to build my po- litical career with the party that upholds Canadian values: The Liberal Party of Canada," he said. Mimnagh and his wife Debbie have lived in the Halton Hills area for 32 years, raising three sons in the business.
