The Legion of Honour is awarded by the Republic of France to those who helped to liberate the country during the Second World War. Fantino joined Consul Général Jean-François Casabonne Masonnave and LCL Roger Vandomme, Deputy Defense Attaché, for an official Légion d'honneur presentation ceremony, at the Sunnybrook Health Sci- ences Centre where Lawr now resides.The Consul Général presented the French Legion of Honour (Légion d'honneur) to four of the facility's resident veterans, Lawr, Norman Corke, Jack Martin and Bill Tindall.
