The LEAR Study is being carried out jointly by the Region of Peel and Town of Caledon for the purpose of identifying Prime Agricultural Areas in the Town of Caledon. LEAR is a technical assessment which, in addition to the Canada Land Inventory (CLI) for soils, allows other factors to be considered in identifying Prime Agricultural Areas. The recommendations from this LEAR study will be used for the mapping of Prime Agricultural Areas in the Region and Town's Official Plans. The Public Information Open House will be held: Date: April 07, 2015 Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (with presentations at 7:30 p.m.) Place: Caledon Country Club, 2121 Olde Baseline Road, Caledon, ON L7C OK7 The Open House will include presentations by the Project consultant and Regional staff on the work undertaken to date. Information on the results of the study and all associated mapping will be available for review at the Open House. The consultant, Regional and Town staff will be available to answer questions, review background information and receive public comments. Public comments received by May 8, 2015 will be considered in the finalization of the LEAR study report.
