COMMUNITY Georgetown high schools in kitchen clash The Rebels and Jaguars have developed a healthy rivalry in Georgetown high school sports and have found a new arena to dis- play their talents against each other. The inaugural Georgetown Bread Bas- ket High School Cookoff pitted students from Georgetown District and Christ the King squared off in a challenge designed to test their kitchen skills as well as raise awareness about some of the needs of the local food bank. A panel of celebrity judges evaluated the two meals prepared by each school and determined the winning dish. Chef Lori Gysel, co-ordinator of the host President's Choice Cooking School, said that many fundamental items such as flour, cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar and spices can't usually be found in the Bread Basket and donations of those goods would be appreciated.
