This study is intended to review and recommend policies about Intensification for the Town. Your attendance and participation at this meeting are important for the Town as it is your opportunity to learn more about the Study and to provide your input. Competition was fierce among the 45 production entries. Everyone sat anxiously hoping their showcase mas- terpiece would possibly garnish them a coveted nomination or even win them the "Thea". The local groups did very well in their respective categories. Georgetown Little Theatre's comedy, Always A Bridesmaid results included: Gillian Taggart won Best Supporting Actress; Janet Goncalves won Best Stage Manager; Anthea Hoare and Pamela Niesiobedzki-Curtis were nominated for Best Costumes, and Michelle Foubert was nominated for Best Lighting. The cast of GLT's other comedy, One Slight Hitch received a nomination for outstanding ensemble performance. And its lead Esther Chung was nomi- nated for Best Female Lead, as was Milton Players Theatre Group's Deanna Palazzo. In the musical category Globe The- atre's Cabaret did very well. Elizabeth Bell won Best Supporting Female and Cheyenne Harvey received a nomina- tion in this category as well. Mary Udell was nominated for Best Costume De- sign. In Drama, Milton Players won two THEAs for The Unexpected Guest. Mi- chael Chew won for Best Supporting Male and Victoria Rykova and Chey- anna Lorimer won for Best Costume Design. Century Church Theatre in Hills- burgh is also celebrating. In the Com- edy category, November's pantomime, Snow White and the Famous Seven, by Jo Phenix, won an Adjudicator's Award for Ensemble. Erin Montgomery won as Best Stage Manager of a Drama for Dead on Nine. Also nominated for this show were Ken Noakes, for Best Supporting Actor, and Martyn Worsnop and Danny Moore for Best Sound Design.
