Pansy Tray $9.99 Reg. $15.99 Lorne Winters' oil painting classes are in demand as students experi- ence success. Since the fall, the professional artist has been sharing his personal oil painting techniques, developed over 25 years of experience, in a se- ries of classes designed to introduce artists of all levels to his representa- tional style of painting. Students benefit from custom- ized teaching (maximum four stu- dents per session) in an intimate studio setting at his Williams Mill studio. Structured in five-week se- ries, there is lots of flexibility for exploring different directions and topics that arise from individual stu- dent needs, interests and creativity. Students begin with still life, use the skills learned to work on landscape and progress to figurative subjects. Students learn to adapt Winters's tips and techniques to their own in- dividual styles. Current students range from professional artists expanding their knowledge base to beginner paint- ers. "Oil painting is always some- thing I've had the desire to try but wondered if I actually could," said one student. "Lorne's laid back environment and step-by-step in- structions make his class truly in- spiring and easy to learn. I have surprised myself at how well my painting has turned out." "Lorne Winters is a great teacher. His gift is delivering purposeful in- struction in the guise of encourage- ment and humour," said another. This is a unique opportunity and spaces are very limited.
