Spokes 'n' Slopes, located at 56 Mill St. East in downtown Acton, opened in the fall and owner Matt Burger said he's had a busy winter of selling, tuning up, waxing and mounting bindings for skis and snowboards. His location used to be a convenience store and has now become the only place in Acton that sells and repairs bikes, skis, snowboards, skateboards and longboards. "Kids come in and ask for stuff and we oblige," said Burger, who has owned and op- erated another Spokes 'n' Slopes in Milton for more than 20 years. "Some people don't have the means to travel out of town to buy or fix something like a bike. We'll even come to their house to pick it up. I'm constantly going back be- tween our Milton store and Acton with a list of things that people need. It's been well re- ceived so far."
