Acton man in 'grave' condition after assault An Erindale man accused of ag- gravated assault in an attack in Streetsville over the weekend that has left a younger man clinging to life in hospital, has been released on bail. Wayne Junior Anglin, 33, of Mississauga, was arrested Sunday after turning himself in to police and has been charged with aggra- vated assault. Anglin is charged for allegedly "endangering the life" of Welland Calamatta, 29, of Ac- ton, during the assault, according to court documents obtained by Metroland earlier this week. Anglin was released on $10,000 bail by Justice of the Peace Eileen Walker in Brampton court, with a number of conditions placed on him that include a nightly curfew, according to court documents. Peel Regional Police say it ap- pears no weapon was used during the fight, which occurred outside a house party on Brookside Drive. Calamatta remains in "grave" condition at press time in hospital, according to a police source. Police said they responded to a call to a residence on Brookside Drive, in the area of Queen St. and Britannia Rd., just before 2 a.m. on Saturday morning after Calamatta was injured following an alterca- tion outside the residence during a party.
