In October 2014 Police launched the au- tism on-line registry. � e voluntary registry was designed to provide a better system of service delivery to community members by ensuring that front line o� cers have access to vital information when responding to occurrences involving people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Since then, the registry has been opened to other vulnerable groups in e� orts to have critical information that may assist police in dealing with vulnerable persons resulting in the Vulnerable Person Registry. A vulnerable person is de� ned as a per- son who due to a medical, mental health or physical condition, may exhibit patterns of behaviour that may pose a danger to them- selves or others. � is could include; an inclination to wander, the inability to communicate, fas- cinations or attractions (water, construc- tion sites, etc.) and social responses (fear of strangers, aggression).
