IN BRIEF Rubbish pile fire gets a little out of hand About 6:45 p.m. Thursday (May 28) fire- fighters responded to the report of a grass fire in the area of Highway 7 and Trafalgar Rd. On scene crews found a large brush and rubbish pile fire approximately five feet away from a metal clad building. Fire staff spoke to the homeowner who was unaware of the fire. There was a fire in a 1,000 gallon tank with a metal fabricated door. The fire spread to the dry grass and the remains of an old shed, as well as to some cedar trees and a hot tub. The property owner was advised of the Town's burn permit requirements.
