For many Saturdays Kim Falls has risen with the crack of dawn (or before) to setup and manage the Downtown Georgetown Farmers'Market. This season's opening day will be Kim's last and final Downtown Georgetown Famers' Market. Her dedication, ideas and crews have made the Farmer's Market what it is today! Kim has spent a good portion of her life downtown on Saturdays, even before she took on the management of the Market. Now she will be able to sleep in on Saturdays and come downtown with the boys to visit and do her shopping for her family. Come help us show her our appreciation for her hard work and dedication over the years. Please join us on Saturday June 6th at 9:30 am at the new expanded area of the Farmers'Market (parking lot between Yong's and Lily Thai) for a presentation and cake. Neighbours said that the they had seen the mother with the fawn in the Bowen's backyard but when mom realized she was being watched she jumped the fence into a neighbouring yard and stayed there just star- ing back at everyone. The family called the Toronto Wildlife Association, who communicated with them several times daily over the next ten days because they wanted to make sure that the baby wasn't an orphan. Mom eventually came back for her offspring. Submitted photo
