This free event is fun for everyone featuring free secure bike parking with lots of room for chariots and includes a free pancake breakfast for all who arrive by pedal power. "Bike it to the Market has proven so popular that we had to do it again," said Councillor Jane Fo- gal, Chair of the Town's cycling committee. "We at- tract every type of cyclist from families with young children to club riders. Everyone is welcome." Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from the Farmers' Market to Maple Ave. to en- sure the ride from Georgetown South and the Delrex area is family friendly. After enjoying a delicious breakfast courtesy of the Georgetown Rotary Club and McDonald's Restaurants, take some time to have your bike checked over courtesy of Spokes 'N' Slopes and pick up a wide variety of cycling information. You can chat with a police officer and learn more about the rules of the road. Children can enter a colouring contest and decorate their bikes. Hayden's Re-Bicycling will be on hand to give away used bikes and trikes to those unable to afford them. There is no need to register for this event-- simply ride to the Market, park your bike and enjoy the atmosphere. The Cycling Committee is also promoting the Halton Hills Community Cycling Challenge and hopes to attract 1,000 participants. Check out www.haltonhillsbikechallenge.ca to see how you can help us reach the community goal of 384,000 kms and help the Georgetown Hospital Founda- tion receive over $62,000 in pledged donations. Popular Bike it to the Market returns Kendra Willard and her son Hayden Willard-Hunt will be biking to the Downtown Georgetown Farmers' Market Saturday as part of the Bike to the Market promotion. Wiillard, a health promoter with Halton Region, is a member of the Halton Hills Bicycle Friendly Community Committee.
