July 1st, 8am - 5pm DOOR CRASHERS As the population of Halton Hills has increased year over year, so has the number of people attending Canada Day festivities in Glen Wil- liams. Unfortunately, what has not increased is the number of park- ing spaces available. In fact, there seems to be a few less each year, so we are offering the following advice to all Halton Hills residents plan- ning to join the Glen celebrations this year: 1. Car pool-- put the whole fam- ily in one vehicle. Add some neigh- bours if you have room. 2. Come early-- the earlier the better! Between 8-10 a.m. parking is readily available Between 10-11 a.m. parking be- comes scarcer After 11 am parking is pretty much non-existent. 3. Please note that after 11:30 a.m. no vehicles will be allowed to enter Glen Williams until after the parade is over at approximately 1 p.m. 4. Alexander, Beaver and Erin Sts. are reserved in the morning for mustering the parade. Please do not attempt to park on these streets in the morning. (Parking is available on these streets in the afternoon). ... but parking will be a challenge Here's some tips Glen Williams has hosted this amazing celebration of Canada's birthday for many years. It includes a wonderful Pan- cake Breakfast hosted by the Glen Ball Association, two fun baseball games, lots of wonderful games and entertainment for kids, a fantastic parade, a pet show, and the hon- ouring of the Glen Citizen of the Year. There are a whole bunch of lo- cal artisans showing off their wares, some yummy eats from a variety of vendors, a Strawberry Tea in the Town Hall, exhibitions from some local organizations, and the whole day finishes off with the famous Duck Race. Canada Day in the Glen has something for all ages...
