Halton Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred at Nashville North early Friday morn- ing. Police were at the Norval bar about 2:30 a.m. investigating another matter when they were alerted to a number of disturbances occurring in and around the nightclub. At one point, police were approached by a man with visible stab wounds, who indicated he had been stabbed during an altercation. The man was taken by ambulance to Sunny- brook Hospital in Toronto with serious injuries and is expected to survive. Police investigation has determined the stabbing occurred inside the bar after a fight be- tween several people, including the victim and suspect, erupted. Following the fight, security staff removed the people involved from the bar. Police are looking for a suspect described as a black male with a light complexion, approxi- mately 20 to 30 years old with dark braided hair in cornrows and a moustache and goatee. ****** A Halton Hills woman is facing charges af- ter Halton Police stopped a vehicle on Guelph St. near Chapel St. shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday.
