Trevor Stroeder, General Manager and Alana Stroeder, Business Development Manager, of Georgetown Chevrolet have generously offered to hold a Drive for a Cause fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the dealership, 33 Mountainview Rd. N. They will donate $25 every time someone test drives a car (up to $3,000.) "Georgetown Chevrolet Buick GMC is proud to support (Links2Care) Youth Services pro- gram with this event, as they support our local youth in a caring, non-judgmental, safe and friendly environment. They provide guidance, support, and resources for a variety of parent and youth issues," said Alana Stroeder. "Get be- hind the wheel with us on Saturday to support our Georgetown and Acton kids!" In addition, there will be a community bar- becue and car wash, starting at 11 a.m. "This type of community support is essential to our program as it not only provides much needed financial assistance but also concretely demon- strates to our youth that their community cares about them and they do indeed have a place to belong. We hope everyone will come out to show they care," said Deirdre Hogan, coordinator, Links- 2Care Human Resources and Communications. Links2Care Youth Program still requires on- going funding in order to continue providing a safe place for local youth to seek the support and empowerment they need to successfully transition into adulthood-- support they may not be able to access elsewhere, said Hogan. "Although we are very grateful for the fund- ing we receive from the Halton Community Investment Fund, the Town of Halton Hills and the United Way, it still only covers a portion of our vital programming for youth," she added.
