The Monday morning darts and crafts, Thursday afternoon social danc- ing, Thursday evening Paper Tole and Friday morning hiking will be taking a break and will re-start in September. You can still carpet bowl on Monday and Wednesday afternoons at 1 p.m. or play shuffle board on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. or join the watercolour group in the afternoon. Thursday is cards day and you can play canasta and cribbage in the morning and bid euchre in the af- ternoon. Fridays we always serve lunch. We do ask you sign up and pay for lunch by Thursday as we have to know how much food to prepare. Following lunch at 1 p.m. you can play bingo. On June 30, Harry Olivieri, Deputy Fire Chief for Halton Hills, gave us a very informative presentation on emergency preparedness, there are some handouts at the reception desk for those of you who could not attend. On Tuesday, July 14 at 1 p.m. the movie featured on the large screen is Un- broken-- the unbelievable true story of survival, resilience and redemption. I see there are still a couple of seats available for the dinner cruise and mati- nee performance of On Golden Pond on Thursday, July 16. What nice way of spending a day in summer. Thinking of trips, the signup sheet for Cuba on Jan. 30, 2016 is now down. There are 12 people going for one week and 20 going for two weeks. Lunch on Friday, July 17 will be meat pie and mash, plus of course, dessert. You won't have to worry about cooking dinner that night, if you sign up. Following lunch on Friday, July 3 Bill Service's family and close friend Madge Matheson placed a leaf on our Tree of Hope. For many years Bill was a mem- ber of the security team and opened and closed the Centre for a week every six weeks. Kris Bruce was happy to hear she won the 50/50 on Friday afternoon.
