BHCC offers a large variety of recreational activities for its residents, such as shopping at the Georgetown Market Place and volun- teers are needed for assistance. As well, volunteers provide 1:1 visits, are meal companions, run programs like reading groups, assist them with their absolute favourite game of bingo, pub nights, give manicures, decorate for the holidays, Men's Breakfast, run the Tuck Shop, be a part of church services, say the rosary, giving communion, providing enter- tainment, pet therapy, assist with social events, look after the plants and birds, maintain the garden, administrative work, or are a committee or board member on its volunteer board. "Our motto is "Long Term Care that Feels like Home" because we want to make the Bennett as much of a home-like setting for our residents as possible," said Cindy McCoy, BHCC Recreation and Volunteer Coordinator, who organized the special night.
