Beloved wife and best friend of David Dills for 64 years. Kay will be forever cherished in the hearts of her daughter Kathleen and her husband Steven Hartnagle, grandsons Joseph David (JD) and Matthew Dean. Her brother Warren Brown and his wife Janet and family; brother-in-law and sister-in-law James and Shirley Dills and family and the families of Clare and Frances Prosser. Kay went to school in Toronto and graduated from the Univers ity of Toronto in 1950 with a degree in Modern Languages. Choosing a career in journalism Kay came to Acton to work as a reporter and eventually editor of the Acton Free Press. She retired in 1979 and with David, moved back to her family home and friends in Toronto. In 2004 Kay and Dave returned to Acton. With her deep family roots in Acton she became a proud writer of Acton history. Kay wrote and published with David many books. Kay lived a life rich in friends and family and was known for her celebrations at the cottage. She loved reading a good book on the shores of Leonard Lake. Friends were invited to join the family for a celebration of Kay's life which was held at the Acton Town Hall, 19 Willow Street North, Acton on Sunday, July 12th, 2015 from 2-4 pm. Predeceased by his beloved wife Jean, survived by loving sisters Kay ( I a n ) M a c P h e r s o n a n d Ly n n e (Briane) Hartley, Brian wil l be sorely missed by his in laws, Ruth and John McGee, Chris and Wilkie Lau and Graham Hill as well all his nieces, nephews and close friends. Ron passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children, their partners and his grandchildren at the Georgetown Hospital after a hard-fought brief illness. We are comforted knowing that Ron, as a creative and talented educator, music ian, community advocate, volunteer and committed Baha'i, was able to touch lives, share his warmth and goodness and leave the world a better place for having lived in it. Ron raised his family and he ld a success fu l career as an educator, principal and musician for over 30 years in Dunnville and in 2009 moved to Georgetown to be close to his grandchildren. He lived happily in The Gallery where he made lovely friends including Tom and Reit and spent many hours at Ares with his kindred spirit Doreen. He volunteered at The Bennett Centre, singing for the residents and found volunteer opportunities throughout the community. He happily joined the Georgetown Baha' i community, his spir itual home, where he was welcomed with open arms and embraced in warmth these last 6 years. A public celebration of life will be held in Dunnvi l le on August 22 at the Dunnville Secondary School. Time to be announced. KELLY, George William After a brief fight with cancer, George died peacefully on July 15, 2015 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood at the age of 78. George, of Wasaga Beach, formerly of Georgetown, beloved husband of June for 57 years. Loving father of Michael (Anne Hodge), Cheryl Anne (Dan Rector) and Susan (Steven Bigg). Cherished grandfather of Scott Young, Sean and Ryan Bigg. Dear brother of Flo, Shirley and Eileen; predeceased by parents Agnes and Maurice, brother Ron and sister Kathleen. George enjoyed life and loved his family and friends deeply. George retired from the printing industry, and he was an avid golfer, woodworker and took delight in the children he drove on a school bus out of Birchview Dunes in Wasaga. WILLSON, Ruby Reseda May 27, 1927-July 9, 2015 Ruby passed away peacefully on Thursday July 9th, 2015 at the age of 88 in her home in Georgetown, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of late Gordon Mckenezie Willson, proud loving mother of Karen (Jessop), Valerie, Bob and Cheryl (Hector).
