HAVING A BBQ EVENT? COMMUNITY In June 2011, the Georgetown Lions Club pledged $75,000 towards the Georgetown Hospital in connection with a fundraising campaign to help fund construction of a new 14,000 sq. ft. Emergency Department -- double the size of existing department. Georgetown Lions announced its final donation of $10,000 to fulfill its commitment made earlier. The presentation was made at the conclusion of our annual charity golf tournament historically held on the third Monday of June. Accepting the cheque from Georgetown Lions Club president John Fini, were repre- sentatives of the Georgetown Hospital Foun- dation Allan Kogon, Brian Arsenault, Steven Kogon and Laurent Thibault. Georgetown Lions have been an active service club in Georgetown since 1931-- over 84 years of community service. We are always looking for new mem- bers, men or women to continue to serve our community with commitment, passion and drive. Please visit our website at www. georgetownlionsclub.ca for additional infor- mation.
