Life is going on despite the construction. Thank you for your co-operation, patience, and understanding during this period which will likely come to an end by November (we hope!). Keep up the good spirits. We will get through it! As part of our Open House you are invited to come to Mold-Masters SportsPlex on Wednes- day, Sept. 9, 10:30 a.m. for a "Come Walk With Us" experience. On Thursday, Sept. 10, there will be a fol- low-up presentation "It's Not Right!". This will be conducted by Volunteer North Halton/SA- VIS. It will also include light refreshments. Friday, Sept. 11, we start off with a Pickle- ball Demo at 10:30 a.m. at the Centre. This new sport is growing rapidly and this will be your opportunity to find out if you might like to join the program. At noon, on the same day, you are invited to join us for "Lunch and Laugh." The cost will be $2 for lunch to include ham, potato salad, baked beans, dessert, tea/coffee. This is being sponsored by the Village of Riv- erside Glen and the Village of Arbour Trails in Guelph. Seating is limited so you must sign up and pay by Sept. 4. Did you know that during Open House Week at both Hillsview Active Living Centres there will be no "drop-in fees"? On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. there is a presentation on Travel Insurance and later in the afternoon at 1 p.m. a cooking demonstration. On Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 10:30 a.m. the Victorian Medical Show. On Friday, Sept. 11 at 10:30 a.m. part of a series on Welcoming Diversity. If there is something at Hillsview Georgetown that interests you, you are very welcome to drop in and visit them. Our regular drop-in programs will take place at their usual time for you to participate in or just watch. The only cost will be Friday lunch, or Bingo. New this Fall, Tuesday evening programs 7-9 p.m. Programs include: movie night, eve- ning games, book club, and shuffle board. On Sept. 8, 7 p.m. movie feature will be Aloha. If you enjoy golfing, there is still time to get a ticket for golf at Blue Springs on Wednesday Sept. 16 on the Academy course. The cost in- cludes a delicious lunch and nine holes of golf. If you are feeling really ambitious you can play another nine after lunch. If you have some- thing that would make a suitable prize for a draw we would be happy to use it.
