Due to the expanding growth of the community and fire department attri- tion, the need for additional part-time personnel has become necessary. The additional probational firefighters will complement the current staffing at the Headquarters Station and the Maple Ave. Station in Georgetown and the Churchill Rd. Station in Acton. "We are looking for staff members that live in the immediate area where the stations are located," said Deputy Chief John Martin. To be eligible for consideration as a part-time fire fighter you must live within 5 km of the station to which you are assigned. Staff living within 3 km of the station will be given preferential con- sideration. Applicants available during daytime hours will also receive greater consideration.
