The Study will document the status of existing stormwater management facilities in six (6) settlement areas within the Town, and explore opportunities for stormwater management measures to improve drainage and water quality within urban core areas and at receiving streams and watercourses. THEPROCESS: The project is being undertaken in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2007) process as a Master Plan under that Class EA. A Public Information Centre will be held at the time and location below to describe the results of the Town of Caledon Stormwater Management Master Plan Study and the draft stormwater management strategy being recommended. At the completion of the study, a final report will be made available for a 30-day public review period. Submitted photos Acton Legion Auxiliary celebrates its 70th anniversary On Sunday, Oct. 25, Acton Ladies Auxiliary (LA) celebrated 70 years of service to their branch and community and we were joined by LA members from Zone B7. In atten- dance was 85 ladies. Zone Commander Sheila Hicks pre- sented the LA with a plaque from Provincial Command and Deputy Zone Commander Linda King presented the LA with a plaque from Zone B7. Branch President Peggy Gra- ham, 1st Vice President Julie Carney and LA Liaison David McLean presented a plaque to the ladies for dedicated 70 years of service to the branch. In July of 1945 the LA applied to Provin- cial Command for a Charter which they re- ceived September 1945. At this time there was 14 members. A big thank you goes out to John Dunn, Keith Andrews, John Wagg, Bob Service, Ryan Wagg for preparing the lovely meal and being in the kitchen.
