NEWS The Town of Halton Hills has invested in Cana- dian Benefit Administrators and MyBenetech of Georgetown by improving their property with the Town's Community Improvement Program. Located at 124 Main St. S. in Georgetown, Ca- nadian Benefit Administrators and MyBenetech are run by siblings Cindy and Jason Robinson. The CIP establishes a formal partnership be- tween the Town and the local business commu- nity to improve their buildings. The Town has bud- geted $75,000 per year in funding for the program. "The program has allowed us to invest in the property we own in ways we would not have otherwise been able to afford. It is wonderful to make the property look more aesthetically pleas- ing. We would not have had the funds to proceed with the renovations had we not received the grant, we are so pleased with the outcome this program," said Cindy and Jason Robinson. The program targets three specific areas of Halton Hills: the downtown areas of Acton and Georgetown and the Guelph St. Corridor in Georgetown. In all three areas funds are pro- vided for the exterior façade improvements and conversion of the underutilized space to either new retail or residential uses. Grants range from $10,000 to $12,500 based on the project. "We have seen some significant success with this program. The businesses that have utilized the Community Improvement Program have made some incredible transformations. We hope that any business in the designated areas contemplating a renovation, take advantage of our program" says Mayor Rick Bonnette.
