SPORTS The Stewarttown Stingers added another re- gional Tier I boys' volleyball championship to their trophy case last week, defeating cross- town rival Centennial in a battle-of-the-north final at the Halton District School Board's el- ementary championships in Milton. Centennial's Chargers had won the area final over Stewarttown, but the Stingers took control in the first set with a 25-12 win before having to hang on for a 27-25 victory to cap- ture the Halton title. On the Tier I girls' side Friday in Milton, Stewarttown faced Georgetown South's Silver Creek in the semifinals, with the Stars coming away with a tight 2-1 triumph. Silver Creek bowed out in the final match to defending- champion Alexander's of Burlington.
