Bruce Cunnington and his staff outdid themselves as they served up a delicious Christmas tur- key dinner to members and friends of our Centre. Happiness abounds! We were able to share this meal in our newly renovated space. For some it was the first chance they had to see the results of four months renova- tion and all had only positive comments. We thank Terri, Sherry and Kim from the Office for taking on the task of keeping the Centre open through all this fuss and muss. At times it was not easy to move groups around and make sure all activities had a place to meet but somehow they managed. Thank you for your patience. Active Living programs will be moving back to the Centre in the New Year begin- ning the week of Jan. 11. You need to register for the program of your choice soon. Cancel- lations happen because we didn't sign up in time. The Centre will be closed for the Holiday Season. We will be closing at noon on Dec. 24 and re-opening at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 4. Membership in our Centre is $35 for the year and is due Jan. 1, 2016. Many have al- ready renewed. If you are not already a member we would be pleased to have you join us. Drop in and some day between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and find out what we have to offer. Beginning in January there will be two shifts a day in the kitchen: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. You will find a new flyer on the Travel Desk out lining the day trips planned until the end of June 2016. Look for my next column the first week in January. From all of us at the Centre, to all of you, a Merry Christmas. See you in the New Year.
