For more information feel free to call.… The following is a list of the impaired driving or alcohol-re- lated charges laid by Halton Re- gional Police against local resi- dents or persons within the boundaries of Halton Hills so far in 2018. On Tuesday, Jan. 9 just before 8:30 p.m., Halton Police officers observed what appeared to be an impaired driver near Mountain- view Road and Delrex Boulevard in Halton Hills and tried to initi- ate a traffic stop. Police said the orange Chevro- let failed to stop and entered a cul de sac, where officers attempted to block the exit, but had to take evasive action to avoid being struck by the suspect vehicle. The vehicle was found aban- doned nearby a short time later. With the assistance of the canine unit, a suspect was located hiding in a garden a few streets away. As a result of the investiga- tion, James Goodfellow, 29, of Salford was charged with driving while ability impaired and driv- ing over 80 mgs., dangerous oper- ation of vehicle, trespass at night and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). In another incident, witnesses made 911 calls to police to report a suspected impaired driver in the area of Steeles Avenue and Ninth Line in Milton at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13. Following an investigation, Alisa Chaly, 33, of Georgetown was charged with driving while ability impaired and failing or re- fusing to provide a breath sam- ple. On Wednesday, Jan. 10, just af- ter 1 a.m., officers initiated a traf- fic stop near Princess Anne Drive and Trafalgar Road in George- town. Mina Hanna, 36, of George- town was charged with failing or refusing to provide a breath sam- ple. Just before 4 a.m. on New Year's Day, officers investigated a collision near Regional Road 25 and No. 5 Sideroad in Halton Hills. Police charged Muhammed Siddiqui, 24, of Scarborough with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80 mgs. At approximately 2:30 a.m. this past Friday (Jan. 19), a Hal- ton police officer initiated a traf- fic stop near Guelph and Adam- son Streets in Norval. Following an investigation, David Greaves, 22, of Mississauga was charged with exceeding the blood alcohol limit of 80 mgs.
