The delicious tradition of Lobsterfest has been an annual staple in Halton Hills for decades, and it's almost that time of year again. So, save the date (and your appetite). Here's what you need to know: When and where is Lob- sterfest taking place this year? Lobsterfest will be tak- ing place on May 25, 2018 at the Gellert Community Centre (10241 8 Line, Georgetown, ON L7G 4S5), beginning at 7 p.m. Where does the lobster come from? The Georgetown Kiwa- nis Club will be cooking 900 pounds of lobster flown in from the east coast. What else is there to eat? Aside from the obvious, Kiwanis Club will also be serving up sirloin steak, Caesar salad, baked pota- toes and desserts. And, of course, everything is all you can eat. What will the funds go toward this year? All money raised from Lobsterfest will go back to community initiatives, in- cluding sports teams, scholarships, Food for Kids and the Georgetown Hospital. Where can I get tickets? Tickets are $90 each and can be ordered by phone (905-877-5155) or online at http://georgetownkiwa- nis.ca/. WHAT'S ON Lobsterfest is on its way - here's what you need to know Don Snider, left, was all smiles as volunteer Vin Bartens serves up one hot lobster, and Allen Pollard, President of the Riverdale Kiwanis Club Toronto queued up for his serving during the annual Georgetown Kiwanis Club's Lobsterfest at the Gellert centre on May 26, 2017.
