Corley is the primary caregiver to his two-year- old daughter Violet and their life is more compli- cated than most. Violet was born with CHARGE syndrome. She has had a tracheostomy, she has a feeding tube, and she is in need of a hearing aid for one of her ears. She is also visually impaired. Corley says he tries his best to balance life and provide Violet with all the services and equipment she requires, but it's cer- tainly not easy. "Life's difficult trying to go to work and trying to take care of her," Corley said. "When I first got cus- tody of her, I had nothing. I had a little bit of money put away and it costs so much to get her supplies and all that. I ended up go- ing broke at that point."
