The rationale for doing so was that Acton has "a number of lawyers who have been here forever and are on the verge of re- tiring." If they had checked their facts beforehand, they would have not been so presumptuous in mak- ing this statement. Perhaps they should finish the project they started here in Georgetown first- .Don Jackson, vice-presi- dent and general manager of SilverCreek Communi- ties, is quoted as saying "Napanee is refreshingly one of the municipalities that actually has a vision." This sounds like a dig on Georgetown to me, right- fully or wrongfully. They need to finish what they started here. Over 90 buyers, mostly locals, have made deposits on the McGibbon project. According to published re- ports, the project is stalled. Since the initial and re- cent reports by the Inde- pendent, there has been no news.
