My family and I want to live in a vibrant small town. Keeping our town a great place to live means we need to keep taxes and spending reasonable, provide the services residents need - but we need to protect our town from plans that could harm it." Your Candidate for Ward 4 Councillor STOP THE PLAN FOR AWASTEFUL BUS SYSTEM • Mass transit would be the first step in turning Georgetown into a big city like Brampton. We can't afford it and we don't need it. • Expanded GO service is our real transportation need including a dedicated North/South bus that connects with the Milton hub. • For our seniors who need rides to things like doctor's appointments, we should consider a supported Uber service that some other communities are trying. TIME TO HALT NEW MASS RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT • Halton Hills Council has approved a plan to build thousands of new homes to the west of Eighth Line. I oppose this. • There's room in the GTA for towns the size of Georgetown. Not everyone wants to live in a big city. • Any new developments should be kept small, built slowly and match the character of existing neighbourhoods. No Bus System · No High Density Housing HOLD THE LINE ON TAXES • Total town spending increases should never exceed the combined rate of population growth and inflation.. • We must do a comprehensive audit of all town expenditures. Too many questions have been raised about where your tax dollars are going…and to whom. • I will work to keep taxes as low as possible and eliminate any unnecessary budget items. MAINTAIN HIGH-QUALITY LOCAL SERVICES • We should make sure we provide high-quality services for businesses and residents, whether this is expanded garbage pick-up, snow removal or any other service • Our tax dollars should be spent on services that people actually want, like youth facilities, such as a drop-in centre and seniors' facilities such as an indoor Pickle Ball Court...not junkets to China! keene4georgetown.ca keene4georgetown@gmail.com 416-577-2260
