The money donated by the founding members at their inaugural meeting in November made it possible for the food bank to replace a broken freezer and fill it with turkeys, just in time for Christmas. 100 Women Who Care Halton Hills will meet again on Feb. 13, 2019 at the Club at North Hal- ton. Nominations for chari- ties and not-for-profit orga- nizations to be considered at that meeting will be ac- cepted until Jan. 30, 2019. Do you think you are all thumbs? A group of volunteers in the Georgetown Market Place is happy to wrap and put bows on your Christ- mas gifts until Christmas Eve. A free-will donation is requested for the service. Part of the proceeds go to the Bennett Centre's An- gel Fund that assists in paying for special outings for elderly residents. Last year $2,000 was donated to the program while another $1,000 was raised for the Georgetown Bread Basket Food Bank. Over the year, CASHH, the Salvation Army Kettle Drive, the Hospital Fund, the Veteran's Poppy Fund have benefited from the gift wrapping, as well as youth from the George- town Christian Reformed who attend leadership training and SERVE pro- jects in underdeveloped countries. Volunteer gift wrappers can be found in front of Bergsma's Paint & Décor from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. CONTRIBUTED GIFT WRAPPERS READY TO HELP AT GEORGETOWN MARKET PLACE Christine Buikema, left, and Michele Westerveld are among the volunteers ready to wrap your Christmas presents in the Georgetown Market Place.
