13 | The IFP -H alton H ills | T hursday,January 24,2019 theifp.ca Welcome to 2019 and what promises to be a busy year at your Hillsview Active Living Centre, Georgetown. Before we leave the Old Year we would be remiss if we did not thank all who made donations to our Christmas hampers for Lins2Care, Georgetown Bread Basket and Humane Society. The spirit of giving and sharing is still alive and well. With the coming of the New Year is also the time to remember that our annual membership fees are due. The cost is still the same. Re- ception will be happy to help you with this. Tired of the ice and snow and cold weather? I'm sure most of you will answer yes so why not come out on Thurs- day, Jan. 29 at 11:30 a.m. and join in our "Beat the Winter Blues" lunch and fun after- noon. Come dressed in your summer finery. Music of the Jazz Trio, friendship, and door prizes are guaranteed to melt your spirits. Tickets are available at Reception. Want to learn more about that new iPhone you got for Christmas? Get familiar with your new device by attending the three-part beginner class on Thursdays Feb. 7, 14, and 21 from 10-11 a.m. Please bring your iPhone, Apple ID user- name and password and reg- ister at reception. New Travel flyers are now available on the Travel Desk and contain information on all our trips until the end of June. Sign-up sheets are available for some of the up- coming trips. Keep in mind that some trips fill up in a hur- ry. Operating hours at the centre are changing. The doors will still open at 8:30 a.m. Business will be con- ducted (memberships, tickets etc.) either through reception or the office during the hours of 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Staff will be taking a lunch break from 12:30- 1:30 p.m. Please plan your business within this new time frame. Grab your red attire and your honey, if you have one, and join us on Friday, Feb. 15 for our Valentine Dance and an evening of fun, great music supplied by Hawk's Nest Trio, friendship, door prizes and spot dances. Purchase your tickets at reception. Thank you to McKabb Taxi for their sponsorship. The centre will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18 to cele- brate Family Day.
