Your local Adult Learning Centre offers adults the opportunity to improve their skills for employment and further educa- tion/training. We offer a supportive adult learning environment in a small class set- ting. Three programs are available to adults who wish to learn part time: Sheridan ACE Program/GED Prepara- tion Program Our part-time classes in English, math and science are offered on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in Georgetown and Milton. Earn Grade 12 college-level equiv- alency credits or prepare for the GED. Computer Skills for Work Program Learn with a small group to master ba- sic computer skills and access online learning. These classes are suitable for adults who are either looking for work or are already employed but require basic computer skills in order to keep up or ad- vance. Classes offered in Georgetown, Mil- ton and Acton. Adult Tutoring Program This is offered to adults who need to up- grade their skills in reading, writing and/ or basic math up to the Grade 9 level. Clas- ses are offered in a one-to-one or small group format in Georgetown, Milton and Acton. All students will be asked to attend a confidential assessment to determine suit- ability.
