"We don't believe there's any risk to the public at this time," said Staff Sgt. Chris Lawson following re- ports of shots being fired on Garrison Square. Police officers, along with the tactical rescue and canine units, were dis- patched to the scene near the intersection of Moun- tainview and Argyll roads around 4 p.m. Tuesday. Several casing were re- covered from the street in front of the targeted home and bullet holes were visi- ble in a BMW parked in the driveway. Police say nobody was home at the time of the in- cident. There are no reports of injuries. The shooter fled the scene in a white or sil- ver newer model Honda Accord or Hyundai, police say. The shooter, who was seen with a black handgun, is described as male, ap- proximately five-foot-nine, wearing a dark hoodie with possibly a darker-coloured jacket. SOUTH GEORGETOWN SHOOTING WAS TARGETED, SAY POLICE MELANIE HENNESSEY mhennessey@ metroland.com NEWS There's plenty of ways to say I love you, but for Alicia Kielburger, it's with food. She's spreading the love all over Shelburne, Orangeville, Erin and Georgetown with her new meal delivery service, Na- na's Kitchen. "Everything is as fresh as possible," said Kiel- burger, who makes every- thing from scratch, in- cluding her pasta and sauces. "I'm not buying any pre-made foods," she said, explaining that she takes her influence from her Maltese and Italian grandmothers. "If you're going to do it, better do it right." With menu items like shepherd's pie, pasta Il forno and even easy-to- heat Crock-Pot meals, Kielburger caters to busy families, seniors and mothers. Meals are pre- pared in a commercial kitchen, complete with proper food handling, reg- istration and insurance. "In general, people just don't like cooking and I don't blame them," she said, adding that she loves to cook for her family, but hates to cook for herself. "That's how I show my love and affection," said Kielburger, chuckling that her bacon-wrapped meat loaf is likely why her husband asked her to marry him. "It's the way to a man's heart." Kielburger makes de- liveries to Shelburne, Or- angeville, Erin and Georgetown once a week. She attends trade-shows, and takes orders online.
