Clare, in his 90th year, beloved husband of Lena for 66 years. Loving father of Steven (Susan), Janet (Scott) Arnold and Julie (fiancé Paul Allison). Predeceased by his daughter Patty Burns-Mellor. Loved grandfather of Joe, Heather, Kimberly, David and Danny. Great grandfather of Amy, Jack, Olive, Lucy and Evelyn. Dear brother of Robert and Donald Burns. Predeceased by his brother James. He was the youngest son of the late Dorothy and Maurice Hillock and brother of Dianne, Blayne and the late Glenwright. He was the dear uncle of Darrell, Robin, Shayne and Guy and their families. He will be long remembered by the local community as the founding drummer of the iconic hometown band "Station House" in the 70's. From there he pursued his musical career at Berklee College of Music in Boston and then on to much heralded acclaim in the music world. To send expressions of sympathy visit www.jonesfuneralhome.co John Langtry John Langtry, 68 years of age of Georgetown, Ontario, passed away on Friday March 22nd, 2019 at Georgetown Hospital in Georgetown, Ontario after courageously battling cancer for a number of months. A funeral service will be held at the church of St. Alban the Martyr, Glen Williams located in Glen Williams, Ontario on Friday, March 29th at 2:00 pm with Reverend Aaron Orear officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery located at 100 King Street in Georgetown, followed by a reception in the Hall at St. Alban's church. Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home located at 11582 Trafalgar Road in Georgetown on Thursday March 28th, 7:00-9:00 pm. Jones Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. John was born in Quebec on June 16th, 1950, the only child of John and Barbara Langtry - both predeceased. He was raised in Saint-Lambert on the south shore of Montreal where the family attended St. Barnabas Anglican Church. John graduated from high school in Saint-Lambert with outstanding marks in math and sciences. John and his parents moved to Georgetown in 1968. They became strong supporters of St. Alban the Martyr church which John attended until his death. Their support included significant contributions to funding the installation and maintenance of a formal pipe organ. John was an active participant in St. Alban's Food for Life program - showing up each week to help with packing and delivering food to those in need. In 2017, John was recipient of the ON (Order of Niagara) award for St. Alban the Martyr from the Niagara Diocese. John went to the University of Waterloo earning a degree in Mathematics in 1974. Following graduation, John had a proud and successful career working for Northern Electric, then transferring to Bell Canada from which he retired as Manager, Corporate Engineering in 2006. John was a proud and long-time member of the Masons. He was also an active lifetime Amateur Radio operator with his radio license (VE3NEC) proudly displayed on his car's license plate. In retirement, John devoted a portion of his time with volunteer organizations to mentor adults in the subject of mathematics. Memorial donations may be made to Georgetown Hospital Foundation or to St. Alban the Martyr, Glen Williams. John's close friends wish to extend thanks to the staff at Georgetown Hospital for the care and support given to John during the last few months of his life. MORROW, Linda Anne Peacefully on Monday March 25th, 2019 at the Wellington Hospice in Guelph. Linda, in her 71st year, loving mother of Kimberley and her husband Mike, and Melissa and her husband Kevin. Loved Grammy of Kelly, Ella, Reece and Henry. Linda is survived by her sisters, Beverly and Sharon. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jean Morrow and Roy and Hazel Wiggins, her brother Kenneth and sister Jacqueline. A caring Aunt and friend, Linda will be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
