He has won our hearts here at the shelter, with his calm demeanor and affectionate soul. He knows all his commands and is very obedient. Bowser walks well, keeps his kennel tidy and seems to react well with other dogs, but if you already have dogs, there will need to be a meet- and-greet with them, as is our policy. He can become over- protective of the ones he loves, so he needs a strong leader who can reassure him that he does not need to protect and who can calm any anxieties he has about it. The staff at the shelter are happy to provide information and education about this. Bowser would be best in a calm environment with no young children. Come to visit him at the Upper Credit Humane Society shelter. We are open to the public seven days a week, from 11 am to 5 pm, and the staff are always ready to show our adoptable animals. Bowser Chinook has a silky black coat with a beautiful sheen that gives her an air of classic elegance. She is quite laid back attributing to her level of maturity although she is estimated to only be five months old. Chinook is a gentle affectionate little cat who likes to be in the company of people. She enjoys being petted and will lay on your lap or at your side so that you can cuddle her. On busy housework days, she will follow you around while you vacuum and dust, patiently waiting until you are ready to stop and dote on her. Being picked up is foreign to Chinook but she is learning to accept and enjoy it. Playtimes are thoughtfully chosen. Chinook will engage in typical kitten play, she loves to chase toys and will entertain herself for hours. She has become relaxed and very tolerant around the older male cats and has fun playfully chasing them around the house. She is a confident kitten who has clean litter habits, likes to be brushed, keeps herself well groomed and is accepting of having her nails trimmed. Although her coat is not long, Chinook will need brushing to remain tat free. She is comfortable and entertained indoors and does not venture outside. She is well suited for a household with other cats, preferably male, although she would be quite happy being an only cat if her new family has plenty of time to spend with her. Chinook will be available for adoption this Saturday at Pet Valu, 375 Mountainview Rd S from 2-4 pm. The $160 cash adoption fee includes vaccinations, parasite treatments, spaying, microchip, and a bag of food.
