Full of energy and always ready to go. She is a terrier mix with an orange brindle coat, aged about 7 years. She is a very smart little girl who knows all her commands, but since she came to us from Quebec, she is a little better with them in French. She loves to play, especially tug-of-war and fetch-the-ball. She will benefit from some training for her walks - for her size she is very strong and tends to pull. Daisy is looking for a home where she is the only pet and with no young children. What she needs is someone who is experienced with terriers and has the time to give her, as she will need lots of exercise. Come and meet busy little Daisy at our shelter. We are open to the public from 11 am to 5 pm daily, including weekends. So far this year, we have found homes for 194 cats, 61 dogs and 50 small animals bringing our total for the year so far to 305 adoptions. Our thanks to all the volunteers and donors, and the kind hearts of those who come to adopt. Daisy Pebbles was adopted from NHKR last year as a kitten. Unfortunately for her owner, housing circumstances changed and Pebbles was tearfully returned to us. Pebbles was a cherished cat, lavished with attention which she happily returned. She is a social girl, gentle with children, and adults are easily accepted as new friends. Pebbles enjoys being picked up and carried, especially to look out windows. She has not been exposed to other animals and she would appreciate being an only cat. To keep her looking her best, Pebbles requires brushing which she absolutely loves. Nail trimming can be sneakily incorporated into grooming with little fuss. She has a fluffy medium length silky soft coat and a luxurious plume like tail. After her favourite activity, she snuggles on a lap with her coat gleaming and falls asleep. Pebbles is a well behaved cat, she is very tidy with her litter box and eating area. Pebbles is not a picky eater, she enjoys kibble and the occasional spoon of canned food. And does not pester people for human food. She plays nicely with her toys, is respectful of people's belongings and is content to be indoors with people. Pebbles would be a fun and easy addition to a family. Pebbles and Ella will be available for adoption this Sat. at Pet Valu 375 Mountainview Rd South from 2:00-4:00. $160. cash adoption fee includes: vaccinations, parasite treatments, spaying, microchip and a bag of food. for more information visit www.NHKR.ca or call Barb 905- 873-8547.
