He is 11 years old, but very playful and full of life. Unfortunately for him, his owner passed away a fewmonths ago. Her husband tried to care for Coyote, but as he is in a wheelchair, he could not give Coyote the attention and exercise he needs. Coyote has only been with us a few days, but we are getting to know and appreciate him. He is friendly to everyone and has settled in nicely here, but of course our aim is to find him a home as quickly as we can. If you are thinking about adopting a new companion, please consider Coyote. It can be very gratifying to open your heart to an older animal, who will be grateful for a home. Come to the UCHS to meet him! We are open to the public seven days a week, between 11 am and 5 pm. Coyote Hogan struts proudly waving his majestic tail, confident that he is the king, although he has no idea what that entails other than receiving lavish affection from his subjects. He was found by a young lady who washed his dirty coat, took him to a vet for his initial care and provided much needed food. She surrendered him to NHKR where he has flourished in foster care and is now ready for a new home. Hogan will be a bit shy initially but that will quickly change once he's settled in. His personality is unique and charming. He follows his human subjects around the house waiting for a ball to be thrown so he can fetch it - very dog like, very un-king like. Hogan is a lap cat who loves when his cheeks are rubbed while snuggling. He is a typical, curious cat that explores every inch of the house, while remaining respectful of his new home. Once he's settled in, he's wonderful with children and female cats, (but probably not another young male cat). Hogan was intrigued and not fearful watching a lively dog play. He is overall a friendly happy boy who enjoys activity and attention. Hogan is a true delight and will bring affection and entertainment when he moves into his new home. Hogan and Harold will be available for adoption this Sat. at Pet Valu 375 Mountainview Rd South from 2:00-4:00. The $160 cash adoption fee includes: vaccinations, parasite treatments, spaying, microchip and a bag of food. For more information visit www.NHKR.ca or call Barb 905- 873-8547Barb 905-873-8547.
