Employment Halton can help you find a new job or career On February 12, Regional Council endorsed a resolution calling on the Federal Government to do the right thing and act on our concerns in the next phase of the review by not approving this project. The resolution is based on the Federal Review Panel's assessment that the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects on air quality and on human health, and additional significant effects are likely to occur. The Panel also identified numerous effects beyond air quality, where CN's project would have adverse health and environmental effects on the surrounding community if not effectively mitigated. The federal Cabinet will consider the Review Panel's report and determine whether approval will be given for this project. A decision is expected in June 2020. You can get involved by contacting your MPs and MPPs, joining the conversation on social media using the hashtag #sayNO2CNhub and attending the Town Hall being co-hosted by MP van Koeverden, Halton Region and the Town of Milton on March 28 in Milton.
