Please be advised of the following service adjustments at this time: • Only credit or debit is being accepted (no cash or coins). • The Re-Use Depot/donation centre is closed until further notice. • SpecialWaste Drop-off days have been postponed until further notice. • If necessary, residents can pick up a new Blue Box or Green Cart at the HWMS. Curbside collection reminders: • Please bag and tie all organic and garbage materials. Loose items will not be collected. • As always, ensure your recyclables are secured or use clear plastic bags for collection to prevent items from blowing away on windier days. • Wewill not be increasing the garbage bag limit. Residents are encouraged to keep up Blue Box and Green Cart use - 60 per cent of household waste is recyclable or organic materials. Halton Region continues to deliver critical programs and services to support our community during this time. To make sure that residents can continue to manage their household waste, we are focusing efforts on Blue Box, Green Cart and garbage collection and maintaining service levels at the HaltonWaste Management Site. As the COVID-19 situation continue to evolve, we are regularly assessing program impacts and any necessary adjustments to services. To stay up-to-date on any changes or service adjustments, residents are encouraged to check halton.ca/waste or sign up to receive regular reminders. Gary Carr Regional Chair 04 02 20 Bulk waste collection To support capacity to provide recycling, organics and garbage collection, curbside bulk waste collection has been suspended until further notice. At this time, metal and appliances will continue to be collected by appointment. Yard waste collection At this time, yard waste is planned to start as scheduled. Pick up is every other week on the same day as garbage for urban areas only. Please check your household's weekly schedule.
