Despite the impact of CO- VID-19 and physical-distancing requirements, residents will still have a variety of ways to purchase, grow, or access fresh and local produce. PURCHASE FRESH FROM LOCAL FARMS A local farm market, the Hen House, will continue operating despite the pandemic. "There will be some changes with pick up to keep with social distancing," Amber Smiley, owner of the Hen House, said. "I imagine there will be more de- liveries required as well." Smiley said she expected the first baskets of produce to befirst baskets of produce to bef ready in the first week of June. The family -- Smiley, her husband, Jeremy Knapp, and three daughters -- have lived on the 44-acre farm since 2015. In addition to produce bas- kets, the family also sells eggs at their farm. "A lot of new people are com- ing and getting eggs," Smiley said, adding that there is cur- rently a wait list for farm fresh eggs.
