People with: Cleaning skills Cooking skills Paid for by the Government of Ontario It's been a long time coming, but Halton Hills will soon have a ServiceOntario of- fice again. A new location is set to open in the Georgetown Marketplace in the space pre- viously occupied by Green Earth. The franchisees for the local branch are friends Janice McKnight from Glen Wil- liams and Shelley Todaro of Acton. While the grand opening was originally planned for June, delays resulting from the pandemic have pushed that date into early July. "We have everything pretty much ready to go," said McKnight. "The mall manage- ment is thrilled to have us in there." The new location will have all of the standard offerings of a ServiceOntario of- fice, including driver's license and health card services, along with mobile licensing, and a local car auction already on board to use this service. The office will also provide RCMP-ac- credited fingerprinting, which can be re- quired for things like federal government jobs, citizenships and any employer that wants their staff bonded. The previous ServiceOntario location on Guelph Street closed in February 2019, leaving local residents to travel to offices in Milton or Brampton. Once open, the new Georgetown Servi- ceOntario will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
