13 | The IFP -H alton H ills | T hursday,S eptem ber 3,2020 theifp.ca COLLETT, Gail Diana ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Mrs. Diana Gail Collett, age 82 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family. Gail was born in Guelph, Ontario on May 12, 1938, the daughter of William and Clarice King. She grew up in Georgetown, Ontario before moving to Guelph to train at the Guelph General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse Gail worked at Humber Memorial Hospital and later at Georgetown General Hospital. A talented artist, she enjoyed painting with oils and water colours and during her time in Florida learned the art of painting with acrylics. Gail owned and operated Craft Shops in both Georgetown and Meadowvale and taught painting. She met the love of her life Bob Collett while living in Georgetown and the two were married on December 5, 1959. Together they raised four children and Gail was a dedicated mother to her two sons and two daughters. Their marriage saw them living in Georgetown, Merritt Island, Florida, and Port Elgin. She and Bob were very active in the communities where they lived and as President of the Kinettes in Georgetown, Gail helped with the petition to build the retirement home Kin Court. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Robert, children Philip (Liana) Collett, Paul Collett, Diana (Deanna) Hannaford-Wilcox and Lesley Collett, grand- children: Emma, Samantha, Sylvia, Jessica, Kristine, Scott, Taylor and Kennedy as well as by nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was pre- deceased by her parents and her sister Elizabeth. A virtual Celebration of Gail's life will be held at a later date. Margaret, beloved wife of the late George Suitor for 62 years and loving mother to Brenda Pearce (Michael and Family), Steven Suitor and Scott Suitor (Carolyn and Family). She was the proud Nanny of Gregory and Adrian Albert and Megan, Jesse and Hannah Suitor. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Violet and Arnold McBean, her sister Flora and her brothers Robert (Mariette), Albert (Judy). She is survived by her brother Bill (Darlene) and her sister -in-laws, Mariette and Judy. Margaret was a dear sister-in-law to the Suitor family; Kathleen (Floyd), Lawrence (Evelyn), June (Ralph), Milton, Alan (Bernice). Aunt Margaret will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Margaret pursued a successful and gratifying career first with Canadian Tire and then selling real estate in Acton, Georgetown, Guelph and Rockwood for over 30 years. Ed, beloved husband of Janette Gray, loving father of Alex (Brianne), Elizabeth (Chris), David (Savija), and cherished Papa of Sydney, Denika and Teija. Ed was predeceased by his parents Harold and Joyce Ayliffe, as well as his brother and best friend Dave Ayliffe. Survived by her two children; Dave Hillier (Linda Gray) of Orangeville and Diana Hillier of Guelph, and her sister and two brothers; Adah Gibbs (Bud) of Georgetown, Bill Bingham (Marge) of Georgetown, and Ron Bingham of Listowel. A loving grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her four grandsons and their families: Zach Tarzwell (Alison Knightley), Clinton Hillier (Janalyn), Jacob Legault, and Justin Legault. Her beautiful great grandson, Boden Dane Hillier, arrived at a perfect time in July to meet his special Great-Grandma Marg. Pre-deceased by her parents; William (Bill) Bingham and Annie Bingham (nee Wolf), and her younger brother Robert (Bob) Bingham. She will rest with her one and only true love and father of her children, Bob Hillier, in the Garden Columbarium at Greenwood Cemetery in Georgetown, Ontario.
