A new location opened its doors in the George- town Marketplace in Au- gust, and franchisees Jan- ice McKnight and Shelley Todaro report that they've received a great response from the community so far. "We're quite busy on the weekends," said McKnight, noting those who don't want to wait in line may wish to come on the quieter weekdays. "We're trying to get extended hours be- cause we really want to help people." The fully accessible of- fice, occupying the former Green Earth space, has all of the standard offerings of a ServiceOntario location, including driver's licence and health card services, vehicle permits, plates and stickers, along with acces- sible parking permits. In the near future, the office will also provide commissioner of oaths ser- vices and RCMP-accredit- ed fingerprinting. McKnight said she has an "amazing staff" that in- cludes a few employees from the former George- town ServiceOntario loca- tion on Guelph Street, which closed in February 2019. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sat- urday.
